Music Video

This is my completed music video and overall I'm extremely pleased with how it has turned out. I feel that everything works well and reflects my choice of genre. I think I have demonstrated great skills in framing, editing and lip syncing, and the overall effect of the video looks professional. I edited the video on Adobe Premier, which made it easier to edit and lip sync the video as it's quite easy to use. I think the green screen background works really well with the flashing lights. I filmed the music video in one day, as I knew from the storyboard, what shots i wanted which made this easier to film. I wanted three different shots, a close up, a medium shot and a long shot. Therefore I did three or four different takes of the video and filmed it all the way through the song in these three different shots, which made it easier to edit and to lip sync.

  1. I love the way you use different costumes and camera angles. The effects you use in the background are awesome! :D The only shots I'm not sure about are the dark shots where you can only see half of the artists face. xx

  2. I think this is an excellent peice of work - camera shot and editing wise. The lip-synching is excellent and you have constructed a solid video. I actually like the shadow scenes and have assumed that these were intentional.

  3. the dark shots where you can only see half of her face were intentional yes and Anna personally i think they were because they connte how the artist has a bit of an edge and her personality comes across :)

  4. I think this music video works really well with the genre. And i like all the costumes used and i like that the costume on the CD cover is also used in the music video it can be something for the audience to relate to. I think the effects that you used were amazing.
Not only that i think that the artist played the role very well with the attitude, i like the bit near the beginning where the camera goes in then comes back and then she has her hand by her face (probably not explained very well) but i think it brought a personality to the artist.
Is the narrative in the music video due the lyrics only?
As a whole though I think that it a good video and looks very professional :)

  6. I really like the changing backgrounds and how the artist acts in the video. I think it's a little repetitive but I think the video looks realistic and really professional.

  7. I really like your music video, it's very proffesional and the lip synching is perfect. Also the girl featured in your video played the roll enthusiastically. The only thing i would comment on would be the repetition.

  8. I think although it is a little repetitive, this video looks really professional with the green screen, camera shots and editing. You've obviously studied the genre and planned meticulously. It reminds me of Cheryl Cole's Fight For This Love video as she is also in lots of different costumes, with lots of camera shots and editing, and her video doesn't portray a narrative either. I don't think you need one as the acting and emotion of the singer and the song itself is quite powerful, which sort of tells its own story. Fits with the genre really well!

  9. your music video was edited really well. you got the lip syncing perfect. With the flashing images and change of scene, it was really engaging for your target audience, how ever i wonder if you could of portrayed a narrative in your video?

  10. I really like your video and I think it looks really professional. The artist's image and costume reflects the genre and the lip synching is spot on. The camera shots are steady and the video had great continuity. However, it feels a little repetitive and i'd have loved to have seen backing dancers in some parts of the video.

  11. Well the video looks really professional and the lip synching has been done really well. The video conforms to the genre and the flashing lights between scenes is very effective. Maybe a narrative could of been included...but despite that a really good job :)
